How to Measure
Take three measurements from the edge of the door panel:

Door edge — side view

Inside face Outside face

A inside distance

B outside distance

C total door thickness (inside → outside, incl. roses)

A + B ≈ cylinder length (e.g. 63 mm or 71 mm)

A — inside distance to the cylinder centre (incl. rose/escutcheon)
B — outside distance to the cylinder centre (incl. rose/escutcheon)
C — total door thickness from inside face to outside face, including roses

On most doors the cylinder sits near the middle, so A and B are similar. Some designs have more hardware on one side, so A and B can differ. Dimensions listed above assume equal A and B lengths.
